To support the continued growth of our business, we are creating a new opportunity for an individual to provide strategic and commercial leadership. The successful candidate will partner with clients and colleagues to ensure the design and delivery of complex medical communication and healthcare learning assignments.


The role can be based from any of our six UK office locations (Dundee, Manchester, Bollington, Oxford, Richmond or Brighton). AMICULUM is also inviting applications from candidates based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, who would be interested in home-working flexibility with regular trips to our Dundee office. Key responsibilities will include:


  • Overall responsibility for managing a broad range of healthcare communications projects from briefing to delivery
  • Negotiation of project budgets with client companies
  • Leading negotiations with clients’ purchasing specialists
  • Providing clients with a high level commercial expertise
  • Establishing and building on positive long-term relationships with client teams
  • Uncovering new business opportunities with existing and new clients and leading the business development process
  • Collaborating with leading medical experts and AMICULUM colleagues across all offices
  • Creating and managing project budgets
  • Leading and motivating internal project teams

Requirements

Candidates for this role should have:


  • Significant healthcare communications agency account direction experience
  • An in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical clients and compliance/content approval requirements
  • Scientific understanding and enthusiasm for healthcare-related topics and the capability to work across multiple therapy areas
  • A good first degree in a biomedical science (research degree preferred)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a diplomatic approach to dealing with multiple client and team requirements
  • Experience gained working on rare disease assignments and an awareness of the complexities of the rare disease sector would be an advantage
  • Intermediate/advanced skills with standard business software packages (Word/Excel/PowerPoint essential)
