Accounts payable manager

AMICULUM ( is a leading independent global healthcare communications and consulting business, with teams based in New Zealand, China, Singapore, UAE, Switzerland, UK and USA. It comprises an integrated cluster of branded agencies and specialisms, encompassing medical communications, healthcare learning, clinical and commercial consultancy, market access, rare diseases, genomic medicine, digital engagement and advocacy.

Due to exciting business growth, AMICULUM’s finance team is now looking for an accounts payable manager to join its team in Richmond, London. The day-to-day duties of this role will include line-managing a team of two, in addition to:

  • Managing and monitoring the performance of the accounts payable function
  • Overseeing work and leading the approval process
  • Liaising with the finance team and individuals from across AMICULUM
  • Ensuring the timely payment of suppliers and the resolution of any queries
  • Developing and documenting new processes to produce efficiencies
  • Providing guidance, support and development opportunities to team members
  • Helping to effectively resource the team within an environment of business growth
  • Supporting the financial accounting team and the wider finance team where additional capacity is required


This role would suit a highly professional, motivated and friendly individual with a proactive and positive attitude. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably working within an international group finance function, is essential, in addition to:

  • Strong numeracy skills and a logical approach to financial tasks
  • Experience of working with multiple currencies and companies within a network structure
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering accurate work in-line with agreed deadlines
  • A flexible approach when prioritizing work and multi-tasking
  • Brilliant written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to provide excellent client service to our internal teams
  • Confidence, approachability and strong teamworking skills
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing and leading a team
