We have made substantial progress towards achieving that goal and now have teams based across multiple locations in New Zealand, China, Singapore, UAE, Switzerland, UK and USA. We offer highly specialist services to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, including medical communications, healthcare learning, clinical and commercial consultancy, market access, rare diseases, genomic medicine, digital engagement and advocacy.


The opportunity

In response to the continued growth of our business, we are creating a new opportunity for an experienced account director to join our team in Singapore. Our team in Singapore has developed an excellent reputation with clients in Asia (and globally) for the quality of work that we deliver.


This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team in a key strategic role. This position will offer variety across a range of global accounts, with project types such as publications, meetings, medical education and rare disease consultancy assignments. Key responsibilities will include:


  • Providing clients with a high level of scientific, strategic and commercial expertise on healthcare communications projects
  • Establishing and building on positive long-term relationships with client teams and key external stakeholders
  • Overall responsibility for managing a broad range of projects from proposal development to briefing and delivery, including project budgets
  • Leading and motivating internal project teams and supporting professional development of team members through training and mentoring
  • Supporting business development activities through relationship building and organic growth of accounts
  • Collaborating with AMICULUM colleagues across all offices for business development and account delivery as required

Requirements

About you

As an experienced account director, you will be accomplished at managing multiple global, regional and local market healthcare communications accounts, and you will be passionate about delivering a superb service to your clients. 


You will be self-motivated, with a knack for planning and a willingness to get involved in client project delivery and team coordination, including overseeing project accounting tasks. You will reflect the key attributes that we look for in all colleagues, which are:


  • Intellectual curiosity: you will have a strong academic record in biomedical science (PhD preferred), as well as an enthusiasm for science communication and the healthcare sector
  • An exceptional eye for detail: you will be passionate about the accuracy and quality of your work
  • Teamwork and collaboration: you will be experienced in leading, managing and developing multifunctional teams across different locations within an organization
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Accountability and responsibility: you will take responsibility for your workload and the projects that you are part of
